NITECORE TIP SE Dual-Core Metallic Keychain Light is Out Now The TIP SE has a max stunning output of 700 lumens with a built-in 500mAh Li-ion battery and a USB-C charging port. It is so lightweight and is multifunctional. Hold down Red to turn off.Press both buttons at the same time to NU25 has a built-in, long-lasting 610 mAh To see how much battery power is left, with the light turned off, hold down the Red switch for 1 sec and release. Thanks to Litesmith for replacing the bulky & heavy NU25 strap with their customized reflective shock cord. A digital lock prevents accidental discharge when the light is not in use while a battery meter notifies you when recharging is necessary or has been completed. Two additional red light LEDS (9 lumens) 6. With that in mind, TLR tend to view mode spacing as battery life indicators (amount of runtime left) rather than the specific output (lumens). The ULTRA-LOW mode of 1 lumen which is what most would call a moonlight mode and is perfect for night-adjusted eyes and midnight snack runs. The lamp has a maximum output of 550 lumens from the Cree XP-G3 S3 LED and is powered by a built-in, rechargeable, Li-ion battery. Never again. A guesstimate wavelength would be 620nm.There is some slight tint shifts in the beam profile and it has a slight varying red (with a hint of orange) tint throughout. The light was subjected to warm water submersion, followed by cold water submersion and left under room temperature running water tap whilst running on TURBO.No signs of water intrusion in the head, switch or charging port was seen.No mechanical lockout but electronic lockout is possible when needed, like during transportation in a bag.Note: Charging the headlamp will deactivate the Electronic Lockout. To sum up, we believe that the most important part of any review is if given the chance to purchase the same headlamp for our own EDC or to gift to our loved ones out from one’s pocket (wallet), would we still do it?With 3 different LEDs, having both “throw” and “flood” on the same headlamp, relatively small form factor with in-built battery included, direct access to ULTRA-LOW, RED and Auxiliary White Light [High CRI], are all plus points for this flashlight. The last thing you want is a dead headlamp because it turned on accidentally in your backpack.Disclosure: Nitecore provided the author with a headlamp for this review. Thanks for the great in-depth review!, I have the nu25 but I’m thinking about upgrading to this , the 25 is a good headlamp but the burn times are not so good and might be doing some winter hiking soon, how is the comfort level, seems to fall in line in oz. Experience with nitecore NU25? It operates with only two buttons and has multiple levels of both white and red lights. With the main LED used, the beam is still sufficiently “throwy” for recognising items in the near to mid-range distance. This headlamps’s Auxiliary White Light (High CRI) and RED LEDs are placed behind 5mm LED-style lens which cause quite a bit of artifacts in the beam profiles; for up-close to near range distance usage. The above beam profiles are a rough interpretation of what is seen when white wall hunting. The main beam has a rather distinct hotspot with some slight corona and a rather wide usable (almost circular) spill. These are entered and cycles by pressing the power button for three seconds when the light is off to repeatedly cycle through the modes and off.The NU32 has five LEDs, the main white one in the middle and two pairs of white and red auxiliary lights on its sides. The extreme compact and lightweight body shows the exquisite design by NITECORE with a weight of 99.5g (3.51oz) and provides a unique user experience in lighting with 60° tiltable angle, ensuring no blind spots. To enter turbo mode, with the light turned on in any mode, hold down Power for 1 sec, and hold down Red to turn off.You can also access two rescue modes, For auxiliary white, hold down Power to turn on and hold down Red to turn off.
