3 of 5 previews were for the same movie. Watch Bad Times at the El Royale official trailer: Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) Bad Times at the El Royale is a 2018 American neo-noir thriller film directed by Drew Goddard. I heard its name a ton while listening to the Dr. Death podcast but never paid attention to the ads so I have absolutely no clue what it's about. That was a good movie but I hated how they glossed over some of the races with just words on a screen. The hotel is deserted, staffed by a single desk clerk. I've been to 3 movies this month. I thought the trailers looked good, but was pretty sure I'd be disappointed - Hemsworth rarely makes good movies outside of the MCU. 3.
Similarly, it is easy to miss the overarching message of Bad Times at the El Royale (and not just for 6th graders). Early 1970s. I don't recall ever seeing a trailer or poster for it until I literally snuck into it randomly. Maybe thats just here where I am. But boy, did I sure do my part to spread the word. It's early Tarantino all over again, is what it is.
Some of the new guests' reasons for being there are less than innocent and some are not who they appear to be. So in the very beginning Jon Hamm’s character finds out that someone other than the FBI has surveillance devices planted in the hotel. Maybe thats just here where I am. But it just seems like they are working pretty hard to get their film out there.I’ve seen tons of trailers for it before movies I’ve watched over the past couple months. Starring Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Chris Hemsworth, Nick Offerman, Xavier Dolan, Shea Whigham and others. Glad to hear it was good.Well movies like this aren't going to attract a wide audience so I'm not surprised they're trying so hard to push the film.Hemsworth rarely makes good movies outside of the MCU.He's pretty damn good in "Rush" and "Cabin in the Woods"I saw a screening of this last week at NYCC.
It's wasn't sexual, but it wasn't NOT sexual.."Pretty much every gunshot or loud noise in the first half made everyone in my audience jump.So am I the only one who thought he was going to turn out to be a serial killer/mass murderer after he said that? I don't think I've ever been so unprepared for a jump scare.Sorry gonna piggyback on top comment because I see a lot of people asking this further down. Jon Hamm Jeff Bridges and Hemsworth really stole the show, but everyone brought their a games. Overall it was pretty weak. They’re certainly not hiding it.I just saw it and felt it was trying to be hard to be a Tarantino movie. One of them had 3. Bad Times at the El Royale - Early 1970s. Close. But the entire cast really was phenomenal. That and he probably encouraged her to sing while he worked because he enjoyed hearing it so much earlier."How many people have you killed?"I was really hoping that he wasn't just gonna be the bellboy that gets killed early on, we see his character nearly face that fate and what ends up happening instead is one of my favorite things in the movie. I have been waiting for awhile actually.Hemsworth rarely makes good movies outside of the MCU
u/ThugBeast21. Bad Times at the El Royale Jeff Bridges Cynthia Erivo Jon Hamm (2018) Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at a run-down hotel in Lake Tahoe in 1960s California. All three of them had 2 previews for El Royale. Once it started to turn into a Manson family thing I got really uninterested. I might see it again in the theatres..I'm shocked people don't know about it. Looking forward to more.Ive seen the trailer probably fifteen times in the last few months, Im sure people will watch it. Summary: In 1969 seven strangers find themselves at the El Royale, a novelty hotel at the border of California and Nevada.
Jon Hamm as Seymour "Laramie" SullivanEither way I loved that after everything he turned out to be the most dangerous person in that hotel.I was the only person in my theater that laughed at this! There are several story lines housed in the vacancies of the El Royal-- a formerly prestigious Lake Tahoe hotel whose claim to fame is that it is split by the border of California and Nevada. Four strangers check in at the El Royale Hotel. It just seemed strange. It's not out yet... How did you "call" it?I think the management at your theater is smoking crack.WTF, I have seen a trailer for it before almost every movie I have seen along with a ton of TV ads.
