I ordered my package in the middle of January, 2019, when it was re-stocked and sale for discount price was started. You’ll find a 3.5mm analog audio output as well as optical (SPDIF) audio out.In the box, there’s the Vero 4K itself, a candybar style remote, and power cable. It's the best device I've tried which comes with Kodi pre-installed, and delivers maximum performance. I hit home instead of back at least a dozen times during initial configuration. That said, the process itself went without a hitch — nothing I haven’t seen before, same as any other OSMC install. Not pictured but also included is mounting hardware for the device itself should you wish to mount it to a TV or whatever. While the initial set up only took a few moments in the simple OSMC configuration wizard, my actual configuration process took a little longer. I had to pull really hard to get the thing out! Also, the two USB ports are placed too close to themselves and sometimes you might have a real trouble when plugging in two wide USB devices (for example some USB flash drives which have big casing).OSMC remote, on the other hand, is perfect. You can't play Mario Kart without a controller. OSMC is one of the best operating systems for any home theater box and the Vero 4K+ was designed to work specifically with it by the people who wrote it. I installed Plex, Emby, Funimation, and Netflix on my Vero 4K. The Debian Linux-based OSMC displays a quick flash of the command line at first boot, but otherwise you’d be hard-pressed to notice its Linux underpinnings. Well, until first “sad smile BSOD” appeared. A device bringing you PC grade performance, without the PC.

You'll even have a working IR remote. I consider buying one later. While Vero is almost perfect regarding its HW, SW side of things has some drawbacks. When you power one your Vero for the first time, then you are greeted with nice and fancy wizard which will guide you throught initial Vero setup.
It was as if the interface was finishing loading before the underlying system had caught up from the upgrade.
While this is a long time to wait on shipping, the wait was mostly my fault. Nothing was damaged and the package had all the goods in it as was advertised:Overally, Vero 4K + seems to be a pretty well-designed piece of HW.Vero is quite small, you can easily hide it behing your TV. I’ve been running it on a Raspberry Pi 3 for ages, and it does run beautifully, but I wanted a bit more power out of my media center (ok, I wanted to be able to use it for more than just a media center), so I arranged to get myself a I ordered a Vero 4K+ on December 13th and received it on December 27th. You'll pay a lot more for it, though. Whether your content is encoded in H265 / VP9 or even 10-bit HDR, Vero 4K is one of the few devices out there ready to handle it. The Debian Linux-based OSMC displays a quick flash of the command line at first boot, but otherwise you’d be hard-pressed to notice its Linux underpinnings. (What are the differences between the Vero 4K and the 4K+, you ask? Moreover, the Vero 4K’s hardware proved more than capable for even my most demanding 4K video files. There’s only one potential and minor drawback which is the add-on experience. In the end, I had to plug out/in power cable to reboot the device.I tried to also play some videos via official Kodi Youtube addon, but the addon seems to have some bugs, and probably does not support 4K videos yet, because I was not able to make it run, neither with “inputstream adaptive” nor without it. For starters, between the awesome guys at OSMC and the… less awesome guys at USPS, there’s no way this thing could ever see damage in transit. Anway 4K played really really nice and even HDR content looked suprisingly well on SDR screen, although some of them might need little adjustments to contrast/gamma/brightness.I have even tried to run 8K videos (just for fun) and when I tried to play it, whole box froze and I was not able to revive it.

There seem to be no thorough reviews available yet; a review of Vero 4K, the previous model, available.
I'm a writer, editor, cinephile, and tech buff.
I even check the “information OSD” and it really said that those 4K videos are playing in 4K resolution, which is just weird, because the used monitor itself does not support it!

Part of Kodi’s brilliance is in its ability to run virtually any media file type thrown at it, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. Given the complexity of my home network, I’m chalking it up to a hostname conflict on my part, and not the fault of the device. Once converted, this will become my full-time home.As I’ll be living in a more or less perpetually transient state, the idea of building an HTPC was appealing.
However, you'll need to make sure you get the right power supply based on the Raspberry Pi that you own.Make your Raspberry better by adding a camera.
