Sunset Campground is a large camping area on a peninsula along the eastern side of Union Valley Reservoir in the Crystal Basin area of the Eldorado National Forest. High clearance vehicles recommended. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.There is no potable water nor trash service at any of the campgrounds around Union and Utica reservoirs. Some sites are walk-in. Take a canoe, a fishing pole (with license) and your restful vacation is assured. Aptly named, the campground is a fantastic destination for colorful sunset views over the lake.
