CPU: INTEL Atom D2700 DSM Version: DSM 6.1.5-15254 Update 1. I really hope the hardware transcoding is soon supported...Same goes for me!

Not sure how you’re supposed to figure that out just by getting TCP connection resets. Plex is awesome!!

If you are NOT local, then you will need to use an SSH Tunnel to access Plex with.I’ve tried to download from here and reinstall Nas’ app but nothing change. Also, check to make sure that all of your network devices are on the same subnet.

Benchmarks Real world tests of Atom D525 vs D2700. Do I have to wait for some scan to finish? Having the same problem. Now my understanding was that the Atoms have always struggled with reliable transcoding, there were a huge number of factors involved. What could I do to help you guys?Plex is working on my ds214play now at least :)!

If that’s what you’re using to setup PMS, which is on the 192.168.20.x subnet, it will not work. Google can’t find “Q7a”. I am backing up all of our precious data to a raid 5 - no need for Carbonite or pay cloud based backup anymore.

Installed fine, and seems to be working. If that’s what you’re using to setup PMS, which is on the 192.168.20.x subnet, it will not work.So far Plex fails in the “easy to use” category.Well that’s just silly. Which machine is at 10.10.12.18? If you are asked to ‘claim’ the server, then do so.Which machine is at 10.10.12.18?

I’ve tried but nothing change, if you want I can register my screen when i do it.When Plex is open in the browser, sign out of Plex by clicking on the ‘Head’ icon (top right of screen) also check that you are signed out in Plex settings > server > general. In this Network all of pc are in the same subnet.Synology NAS has the ip 192.168.20.8 and I have installed there the app from Synology store and also the one downloaded from Plex site.So I had trouble connecting via the Apple TV Plex app, knew the server name but mostly stayed in “Connecting …” (red) state.

Just open the spk file with 7-zip and go edit the file named "INFO". I'm also interested in the DS214play, and am curious about the status of FFmpeg support as well...I also patched the INFO file in the .spk for Synology Intel NAS and added "evansport" to the list of supported architectures.

Synology's videostation is capable of using the Intel to transcode video, and i understand that they use FFMPEG to. (With a bogus self-signed certificate, of course.) Don't they both have x86 processors but the ds713+ is clocked higher? That is, if you use something like 192.168.0.1 to access your router settings, then all of your devices must have an IP address starting with 192.168.0.x where x is different for each device. Also, make sure you are signed in by clicking on the ‘Head’ icon (top right of screen) and by going to Plex settings > server > general.

Installed fine, and seems to be working.

I have stopped most packages on the NAS to ensure memory is free and stopped any media indexing. Please just put the URL in the message itself.OK. 1,038. Atom D525. What could I do to help you guys?Quick question: why did you guys pick the ds214play over the ds713+?

Can you help me?

Plex hasn't brought this out to the masses yet, so when they do I'm sure the over-all Passmark requirements for Haswell CPU's will drop significantly. What does it have of more?So what have Synology done (Codec wise), which now makes them confident to say that the Synologies can transcode on the fly.Because they are stating transcoding not streaming, which as we all know is a world of difference.Until now, everything seems to work, except hardware transcoding support.

To my understanding because FFMPEG is unable to leverage the capabilities of the Intel evansport. Says “Looking for servers…” in the upper left corner.Turns out the Plex server seems to have changed from using http on port 32400 to https overnight without telling anyone. Added evansport to the arch settings.

That means the 5075 passmarks the i3-4330 might be much greater when transcoding video. Had to go into the “Shared Folder” control panel section and under “music” give RW permission to user “plex”. Synology have listed all the devices which have type 1 transcoding, e.g. I installed plex media server on the machine and holy crap is that awesome. @ThoseGuys, i'm from the Netherlands and the 214Play is widely available here.VDPAU is not very useful for transcoding, and is already supported in Plex/HT.Great news, good move Synology!Plex is working on my ds214play now at least :)!

PMS requires one of two things: Ended up editing the INFO file with 7-zip. With a dozen or so server processes running. The Plex app on the NAS keeps pushing the CPU upto 100%. I can stream my movies to any smart device in the house and even my mobile.

We'll see.Since yesterday I own a Synology DS14play, which supports hardware transcoding using the Intel Evansport CE5335 SOC.

Every 10 minutes or so would connect but just show me Podcasts, etc.

But perhaps the Wiki is being conservative?Got my DS214play and I am loving it!
