According to him, change has taken place in all the forms of administration as a natural process, because the forms of state revolve like the wheels of a cycle. It was roughly based on the history of Greek city-states in the same period. Aristotle for the first time adopted a scientific method to classify the constitution. These oligarchs are overthrown by the people who set up a democracy. Aristocracy is the rule of the few for the common good but it degenerates into oligarchy. When monarchy became perverted, it degenerated into tyranny, which was replaced by aristocracy. We will discuss these three constitutions in my upcoming posts. Understanding the Cycles of Governments ()Understanding the cycles of governments is key to the U.S.A.’s survival as a world power. Aristotle mentions this notion but pays little attention to it. When few people rule for common good it is aristocracy. Aristotle has not only given the classification of states or governments, he has also tried to investigate their development and cycle of change. and defend them persuasively, we must turn first to Aristotle’s Politics. This post is extremely important to maintain the U.S.A. in a Constitutional Republic (we are already seeing the demagogues everywhere, so the end of this republic could happen at any time if we do not take the necessary steps to prevent it). One man rule, unlimited monarch is against the principle of human equality. Those which deviate from that end are perverted states. In this way, the government continued. His classification is based on the study of 158 constitutions of the ancient world.

Monarchy was, again, established and, thus, revolved Aristotle’s cycle of political change. There is no guarantee that governments change in the order indicated by Aristotle. It is arithmetical rather than organic, quantitative rather than qualitative in character. To cite Aristotle as the father of individualism and popular government may, at first glance, seem implausible. The concept of “The Kyklos” is first elaborated in Plato’s Republic, chapters VIII and IX. Aristotle gave a number of options as to how the cycle could be halted or slowed:The Kyklos (Ancient Greek: κύκλος,IPA: [kýklos], “cycle”) is a term used by some classical Greek authors to describe what they saw as the political cycle of governments in a society. After all, Aristotle did not think that individual freedom is the highest political value. They too quickly forget about virtue, and the state becomes an oligarchy.

Policy is the government by many when it is just and works for the welfare of all. But when they rule in their self-interest, ignoring the common good, aristocracy is perverted into an oligarchy. Democracy soon becomes corrupt and degenerates into mob rule, beginning the cycle anew. All the philosophers believed that this cycling was harmful. in the executive power;  the aristocracies are represented by judges, magistrates, and attorneys in the judicial power; and the democracies are represented by senators and representatives in the legislative power.Because of the excesses of the ruler, the tyranny is overthrown by the leading citizens of the state who set up an aristocracy. The monarch’s descendants who, because of their family’s power, lack virtue become despots, and the monarchy degenerates into a tyranny.Understanding the cycles of governments is key to the U.S.A.’s survival as a world power. No government is self sufficing. He has classified the constitution on the basis of the location of sovereign power and end or purpose towards which the power was directed.Sir John Seely criticized it on the ground that it was not applicable to the modern governments. In republican forms of government, the monarchies are represented by presidents, governors, mayors, etc. In this way, the government continued. The classification of the constitutions is not a modern idea. In every government, there is a revolution goes on cycle of rotation. Aristotle also referred to the cycle according to which the government changes. There are different bases on which the constitutions are classified. His classification is illustrated by the following table.Monarchy is the government by one in the interest of common welfare.
