So for less than $100 get the Vega20 (compared to getting the Vega16), it's definitely a performance boost (up to 40%). I have the same dilemma. We went with the more expensive Vega 20 to squeeze out the most performance from Apple's flagship notebook, as well as opting for 32 gigabytes of RAM and the Core i9 six-core processor.Here, the Vega 20 crunched almost twice as many frames per second as the Radeon 560X with the i9 processor, an improvement we weren't expecting to see.
It will never be slower than 80% of the Vega 20, while the 560X is slower than that at every single bench I can google up.Just take a benchmark of the Vega 20, remove 20% of the performance (20% lower FPS, 20% fewer samples per second, etc) and call that a Vega 16 benchmark.
